Privacy Policy

This page is a working draft. Final language is under review with Kai Moving's counsel and will be updated before the public launch.

1. What we collect

We collect information you provide directly — name, email, phone, addresses, payment method, item photos and descriptions, and any messages you send us — and information captured automatically as you use the site, such as page URL, referrer, UTM tags, IP address, and user agent. For signed bills of lading, we also record the IP and user agent of the signing device to meet E-SIGN audit requirements.

2. How we use it

We use your information to provide moving, storage, and design services; process payments; send transactional email and SMS (appointment confirmations, invoices, BOL copies); operate and secure our systems; and, with your consent, send marketing communications.

3. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers necessary to run the business (hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, payment processing, dispatch and delivery partners, insurance carriers in claim handling), and only to the extent needed for that purpose. We do not sell your personal information.

4. How long we keep it

We retain transactional records — jobs, items, bills of lading, invoices, payments, and signed consents — for as long as required by tax, insurance, and commercial-carriage regulations, typically seven (7) years. Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

5. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest where the underlying storage supports it. Access to customer data is limited to staff with a job-related need, governed by role-based access control in our internal portal.

6. Your rights

You can request a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, withdraw marketing consent, or request deletion of data we hold about you (subject to the retention obligations in Section 4). Email privacy@kaimoving.com and we'll respond within thirty (30) days.

7. Cookies and analytics

The site uses first-party cookies for session management and load-balancing. We do not currently embed third-party advertising trackers. If that changes, we will update this page and, where required, surface a consent banner.

8. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

Material changes will be posted here and announced on the home page. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
